We will look at the role of the Old Testament high priest in his primary function in the sacrifices on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement (Session 1) and the role of Jesus as eternal high priest of the new covenant (Session 6). We will ponder Jesus' command to eat his flesh and drink his blood and his summons to have complete faith in him (Session 4).
What do you understand as the role of the high priest in the Old Testament, or in current times?
How would you describe your faith in Jesus? How would Jesus describe your faith in him?

    I would describe my faith in Jesus as a growing relationship, sometimes with really good days and sometimes with struggles and doubts. I would hope that Jesus would be pleased with my efforts to grow in my faith. I often pray the prayer, "Lord, I do believe. Help my unbelief."
